Frequently Asked Questions
How do I calculate the cost per printed page?
Divide the cartridge price by its rated page yield. A 1,500 rupee cartridge rated for 2,000 pages costs about 0.75 rupees per page in ink, before adding paper cost.
Why is my real page cost higher than the rating?
Cartridge yields are measured at 5% page coverage. Dark documents, photos and graphics use far more ink, so heavy pages cost more and reduce the number of pages you actually get.
Are laser printers cheaper per page than inkjet?
For plain text, laser printers usually have a lower cost per page and toner does not dry out. Inkjets are cheaper to buy and better for colour photos but cost more per page over time.
