Where does the exchange rate come from?
The tool uses a live market rate when available and lets you enter a manual rate as a fallback. This is useful when you want to match a specific supplier or bank rate for a quote.
Why does the bank charge a different rate than shown?
Live mid-market rates do not include bank margins, forex markup or transfer fees. Banks and cards add a spread, so the actual amount debited is usually a little higher.
Can I use a manual rate for imported hardware quotes?
Yes. When quoting imported parts you can lock a manual rate that includes your buffer for currency movement and charges, giving the customer a stable price in rupees.
